Due to demand, we are only accepting 2 teams per school. They may only receive one trophy for their highest scoring team.

This year we will place our cap at 45 teams.

We will continue to have some homerooms in classrooms and some in the cafeteria, with priority given to those who register first.

Registration will be 2 weeks after the rules come out to allow everyone to read the rules before they select events to run. Please only sign up to run events that you can run.  Thank you.

Event Preparation

Each team will prepare, proctor, and grade one event.
(Most schools will only have to run one event. Schools that bring a second team will be asked to help with timing, assist with grading, etc. )

Events are assigned to maximize strengths,
not first-come, first served.

Please submit tests four days prior to competition.

National Schedule

We will follow Science Olympiad's national schedule of events.
We will follow Michigan's schedule of events.

It's the little things

We award medals to 4th place and ribbons to 8th.
All teams from the same school are in the same testing block.

We have gender neutral bathrooms throughout the building.
The specs for events are posted months in advance.
Answer keys are sent out during the bus ride home.

Fine Print Ahead

All teams participating in an invitational tournament need to register with their state Science Olympiad. The membership fee must be paid prior to participating  in any competition. If schools would like to bring more than one team, each team must be registered with their State office.
