Online modifications

The Scilympiad system allows students to each be in their own home working on and looking at a synchronized test.
Each student is allowed a complete set of resources. (Both students in Ornithology may have their own binder and book.)
We will run our usual 6 blocks from 9 – 3 and students need to take their tests then.
The lab events are dry-labbed.
The building events are cancelled; however National Science Olympiad is working on some virtual substitutions.

Fill out the Registration form at the top of this page.
Fees need to be postmarked by December 1st.

Schools may bring as many teams as they would like, that may earn medals, but may only receive one trophy for their highest scoring team.

Event Preparation

Each team will prepare, proctor, and grade one event.
Events are assigned to maximize strengths, not first-come, first served.
You will need to enter the test into the Scilympiad system four days prior to competition.

National Schedule

We will follow Science Olympiad's national schedule of events.
We will follow Michigan's schedule of events.

It's the little things

We do medals to 4th place and ribbons to 8th.
All teams from the same school are in the same testing block.

We have gender neutral bathrooms throughout the building.
The specs for events are always posted months in advance.
Answer keys are sent out during the bus ride home.

Fine Print Ahead

All teams participating in an invitational tournament need to register with their state Science Olympiad. The membership fee must be paid prior to participating  in any competition. If schools would like to bring more than one team, each team must be registered with their State office.
